Supporting Families and Creating Art in New York City

welcome
I’m Kira, a postpartum doula, reiki practitioner, mentor and artist based in Brooklyn, dedicated to supporting new families during this transformative time. My approach is rooted in three core values: intuition, spirit-centered support, and kindness. I believe in creating a nurturing space where families can feel safe to express their needs and emotions, allowing us to cultivate a deep connection that honors your unique journey.
I place great importance on providing overnight support, offering you the chance to rest while knowing that you and your baby are cared for with compassion and sensitivity. I hope to provide reassurance, helping you navigate the challenges of early parenthood with confidence and grace.
As both a doula and an artist, I draw upon my creativity to enhance the nurturing experience I provide. I celebrate the journey of parenthood and believe that kindness and understanding are essential in helping families heal and bond during this time.
Motherhood and Parenthood is an evolving journey—one that transforms us into empowered parents. As your postpartum doula, I invite you to embrace this beautiful evolution and recognize the artistry in your parenting experience. Parenthood has taught me invaluable lessons, and I’m here to share that knowledge with you, providing the support and guidance you need as you navigate this transformative time.
Let’s honor your unique path together. Whether you’re seeking emotional support, practical resources, or simply a compassionate presence, I’m here to help you embrace parenthood as the art it truly is.
Welcome to a space where you are seen, heard, and truly cared for.

Meet Kira
I’m honored to be part of your journey as a postpartum doula and artist. My role is fluid, where my identities as an artist, parent, and doula intertwine, each influencing the other and providing a creative outlet for my service.
Creativity guides me as I process my experiences, environments, and identity. Through drawing, painting, and crafting, I’ve discovered the meditative qualities of my art practice. This approach allows me to support my family and clients from a present, intuitive, and heart-centered space. To me, creativity is life, and motherhood itself is a profound form of art.
Having navigated the early stages of parenthood myself, I understand the complexities and questions that arise during this transformative time . I was once taken aback by the lack of knowledge surrounding postpartum care after the birth of my first child, which ignited my passion for supporting others.
I believe new parents and birthing folks deserve to be celebrated and honored. My mission is to provide a safe space for you to rest, heal, and bond, offering answers and resources on a wide range of topics. Together, we will navigate this beautiful and fragile moment in your life, empowering your entry into parenthood with compassion and understanding.
Rest, Heal, Bond
my values
intuition
Intuition, guided by your spirit, is essential for navigating life’s transitions, especially during parenthood. Tapping into our innate intuition fosters confidence and clarity, helping us make decisions that resonate with our true selves.
Learning to lean into your intuition prioritizes holistic well-being, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. This nurturing approach creates a space where emotional and spiritual needs are honored, promoting healing and growth. By embracing your intuition, I hope to empower families to navigate their unique journeys with compassion and authenticity, creating a harmonious foundation for connection and resilience.
attachment centered
Attachment-centered support emphasizes the importance of nurturing secure bonds between caregivers and children. This approach fosters a deep emotional connection, promoting trust and safety, which are essential for healthy development. By prioritizing attachment, caregivers can respond sensitively to their child’s needs, creating a supportive environment that encourages exploration and resilience.
Understanding the dynamics of attachment allows families to navigate challenges with empathy and patience. This supportive environment enhances emotional well-being and strengthens relationships, ultimately laying a foundation for positive social interactions and lifelong healthy connections. Prioritizing attachment is crucial for fostering secure, loving relationships.
kindness
Kindness is a cornerstone of effective postpartum support, creating a nurturing environment where new parents can thrive. In this sensitive period, gentle and compassionate care fosters trust and openness, allowing families to express their needs and concerns without judgment.
Kindness promotes emotional healing and reassurance, helping new parents navigate the challenges of early parenthood with confidence. It encourages connections among families, fostering a sense of community and belonging. By prioritizing kindness, postpartum support not only alleviates stress but also cultivates resilience, empowering families to embrace their journey with warmth, understanding, and love.
“I had an unexpectedly transformational experience with Kira. However, shortly after the session began I noticed gentle swirling energy in my solar plexus and began to cry. I wasn't sure what my tears were but Kira held a very safe and graceful space that allowed the energy to move through my system.”
-Astrid, Reiki Client
“Kira is an incredible support with sleep and I'd highly recommend working with them. They supported us when our son was around 7 months and was so in tune with our wants, needs, and comfort level. Kira gave us the tools and the confidence to make changes to what sleep looked like for our infant while making us feel truly seen and held.”
-Shelby, Sleep and Overnight Support Client
“Kira was integral to our newborn experience! Looking back, I'm not sure we could have done it without them. Kira was just as much a caretaker of us as they were for our newborn, an experienced hand at such a tender, vulnerable moment. During the 6 weeks we worked together we looked forward to our "Kira nights", a calming presence, some guaranteed sleep and a moment to catch our breath.”
