Postpartum Overnight Doula
I’m here to support you as you rest, heal, and bond with your new baby. I know the postpartum journey is a time of incredible change, emotions, and adjustments, and I’m honored to walk alongside you, bringing warmth, care, and intuition to each visit. My goal is to create a safe, comforting space where you can embrace your recovery and get the rest you need. While I specialize in working with families overnight during these new days as a family, my knowledge and support is not limited to just a good night of rest.
With an open heart and a non-judgmental presence, I offer you practical assistance, emotional support, and resources tailored to your unique needs. Whether it’s through overnight care to ensure you get quality sleep, gentle guidance to help you feel empowered, or just holding space while you take a moment to breathe, I’m here to help make this time feel as gentle and fulfilling as possible. Let me take care of the little things, so you can focus on the connection and joy that comes with nurturing a new life.
Welcome to a space where you are seen, heard, and truly cared for.
Hello New Night Owls & Families
An overnight postpartum doula provides crucial nighttime support for new families, helping parents rest and recover while ensuring that the baby’s needs are met.
Baby Care
Tends to the baby’s needs throughout the night, including feeding, burping, diapering, and soothing, so parents can get supported sleep.
Feeding Support
If the baby is bodyfeeding, the doula brings the baby to the parent and then takes care of the post-feeding needs, or they handle bottle feedings entirely if desired.
Sleep Education
Shares tips and guidance on newborn sleep patterns, helping parents establish healthy routines over time.
Emotional Support
Provides a calming, reassuring presence during a vulnerable time, supporting parents if they wake up feeling anxious or have questions during the night.
Light Household Tasks
Tends to minor household tasks if needed, such as cleaning bottles or preparing for the morning, so parents wake up to a peaceful environment.
Connecting to Resources
Connects families to community resources, such as lactation consultants, support groups, mental health providers, and pediatric specialists, fostering a well-rounded support network.
What does an overnight postpartum doula do?
Is an overnight doula right for me?
As an overnight doula, my goal is to provide calm and supportive care during the early months with your newborn. Whether you’re chestfeeding, bottle-feeding, or pumping, I’ll work alongside you to support your feeding goals in a way that feels right for you. I can assist with pumping, help bring your baby to you for feeds, or handle bottle feeds during the night, offering you a chance to rest and care for yourself.
I’m here to be a steady presence, offering encouragement and practical support to help ease any worries or uncertainties. Whether you have questions, need guidance, or just want someone to share the nighttime load, I’ll be by your side with patience and empathy.
For single parents, families with multiples, or those navigating the postpartum period without nearby support, overnight care can help make the nights feel more manageable. I’m also happy to assist with light tasks like tidying up or preparing bottles, helping you feel more organized and supported in the morning.
My care is focused on meeting you where you are and supporting your unique needs as you adjust to this new chapter. If this kind of support feels like what you need, I’d love to be part of your journey.
What does postpartum support with Kira look like?
Here’s what a typical overnight with me as your doula might look like:
9:30 PM – Arrival and Check-In
I arrive and check in with you to hear about your day and discuss any specific needs for the night. We’ll go over your baby’s feeding, diapering, and sleep routines, and I’m here to answer any questions you have before you settle in for the night.
9:45 PM – Setting Up for the Night
I’ll set up the baby’s sleep area, organize feeding supplies (like bottles or pump parts), and make sure all essentials—diapers, wipes, burp cloths—are within reach. My goal is to ensure a smooth, peaceful night for you and your baby.
10:00 PM – Evening Feed and Wind Down
If it’s time for a feeding, I’ll either bottle-feed the baby or bring your baby to you if you’re body feeding. Afterward, I’ll handle burping, diaper changes, and a calming bedtime routine to help settle your little one for sleep.
10:30 PM – Parental Rest
Once your baby is settled, I encourage you to get some rest, knowing I’ll manage the night. You can go to bed, knowing I’ll be there to care for the baby and handle any needs as they come up.
10:30 PM - 7:30 AM – Overnight Care
Through the night, I monitor and care for your baby, attending to any wake-ups, feeding, changing, or soothing as needed. If you’re chestfeeding, I’ll bring your baby to you at the scheduled times, then handle burping and resettling so you can get back to sleep quickly.
4:30 AM – Final Feeding and Morning Prep
In the early morning, I’ll take care of the last feeding and diaper change and begin preparing for the day. I’ll wash bottles or pump parts, tidy up, and organize your space so everything’s ready when you wake.
7:30 AM – Wrap-Up and Parent Check-In
As my shift wraps up, I check in with you to share updates on your baby’s overnight feedings, diaper changes, and sleep. I’ll leave you with a complete summary, allowing you to feel informed and reassured without needing to wake up throughout the night

My virtual postpartum sessions are designed to provide empathetic, non-judgmental listening and guidance for whatever you’re navigating—whether it’s the joys, challenges, or unexpected moments of this season. These sessions are an open space for you to process, share, and explore your needs with a supportive partner by your side.

Sleep Plan Package: For families with children 4 months and older, I offer a comprehensive sleep support package. This includes a 1-hour consultation, a tailored sleep plan, and two weeks of text/phone support as you implement the plan—all for $200.
Additional Care and Considerations
Shift Duration: Each shift is 10 hours, providing consistent and focused support throughout the night.
Supportive Sleep: While I love troubleshooting and have knowledge around sleep, I am not a sleep trainer.
Maximum Nights per Week: I work up to 4 nights per week to provide dedicated care. For families seeking additional support, I’m happy to coordinate a doula team arrangement with trusted colleagues, ensuring continuity of care.
Prenatal Home Visit: Around 36 weeks, I offer a home visit to connect, discuss needs, and prepare a personalized care plan for postpartum.
Completion Requirement: To maintain the highest level of care, packages should be completed within the third trimester or by 12 weeks postpartum, however, I can provide ongoing virtual support for the first 12 months.
Attachment-Based: My sleep support is rooted in attachment-centered principles, ensuring the child feels emotionally and physically supported by the parent during sleep adjustments. I’m not the right fit for families pursuing full cry-it-out methods, leaving the room, or withholding feedings.
Welcome to a space where you are seen, heard, and truly cared for.
